My goal is to work with older adults to identify what emotional and practical
problems in their daily life are causing more stress and suffering than
necessary. Sometimes the mere presence of a kind, caring person who
listens without judging is enough to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
At other times, a more active stance is called for in which we focus together
on making changes where possible and letting go of what will never be.
My approach is to help the older person access their own strengths, wisdom,
